I joined National Instruments in 2010 as (at that time) a rare external (Industry Experience in ATE & EDA) hire time work for Ron Wolfe. As a “scrappy” internal start-up a small team evangelized the idea that in addition to success in Lab Characterization … NI could exploit the need for production-ready semiconductor production test equipment. Our journey began modestly with building the “Savage” tester, and one of my fun days was landing to first Customer order.
